Introducing Akio Tanaka

Akio Tanaka is an artist based in Kakunodate, Akita Prefecture.

After enrolling at the University of Veracruz in Mexico, he held solo Exhibition Sponsored by the Government of Veracruz State and Supported by the Embassy of Japan as well as 40 classical exhibitions at large department stores in Kyoto and Tokyo. 

And he is a painter whose work has been featured in art magazines and his solid artistic and expressive abilities are evident in all of his works.

While creating works featuring Mount Fuji as a motif and abstract arts, he also makes unique handmade bags and art wallets with a deep passion for beautiful leather.

His artistry and expression breathe new life into his works, and each thoughtfully crafted work of art brings a quiet sense of presence and color to the space.
